What type of event can I use one of these kits for?
The kit can be used for whatever event type will support your local playgroup. That can be a competitive ARH Standard tournament, or something more casual and thematic. 

What’s the cost of a kit?
Expect to pay approx $15 per kit shipped. Depending on your location, kits will be shipped from one of our worldwide ARH community leaders.
Based on a local community of 6 players that’s just $2.50 per player! Please use the form at the bottom of this page to apply.

What’s the criteria to be able to purchase a Local Play Kit (LPK)?
You must show us evidence of an existing playgroup, or intent to start a playgroup where this kit will be used. These kits are not to be used as a way to purchase the cards for individual purposes.

Do I need to use this kit at a games store to qualify?
No. Wherever your playgroup plays SW Destiny we want to support you.

When will these be available?
Shipping from late April, but applications can be submitted now for approval.

Can I order as many kits as I like?
Yes, but we need to distribute these kits fairly across the community. If a certain kit becomes more popular we want as many playgroups to have the opportunity to get their hands on it as possible.

Will there be more kits in the future?
Yes, the plan is to release a wave per ARH set release cycle, previous kits will then be phased out. 

Can I still purchase a wave 1 kit?
Yes (find them here) but stock is now very limited, once depleted wave 1 will be phased out.

Gen Con is the largest tabletop game convention in North America, taking place Thursday, August 3 – Sunday, August 6. ARH Organised Play Structure for 2023

Our organised play structure caters for casual kitchen table play through to these Grand Championship events. Here is a summary of the organised play structure for in-person play in 2023:

Local Play Kits – These are great for casual or semi-competitive play. They can be used to support any format of SW Destiny (ARH, FFG or Smash). These kits can be used as prize support at your local game store, or around the kitchen table. Each kit supports up to 6 players. Apply for a kit here.

Renewed Primes – These are more premium events for running an ARH Standard format tournament. Each kit supports up to 16 players. Apply to host a Renewed Prime here.

Grand Championships – The crème de la crème of in-person ARH play. GC’s are exclusive events for countries that have a proven strong ARH standard player base. If your nation isn’t listed above, you’re willing to host, and you feel your country has the player base (can attract at least 16 players), please reach out to us to start a conversation.

Running a Renewed Prime Event – FAQs

What’s the criteria to be able to host a Renewed Prime 2023 event?

The 2022 Renewed Prime Championship season revealed the most successful Renewed Prime events were those built around an existing community. Therefore we ask to see evidence of an existing playgroup in the approximate area via photographs or previous event page(s). Please only apply if you are confident you will have good community interest in attending your Renewed Prime event.

If you are just starting out with building a Destiny community we’d recommend you apply for a Local Play Kit instead. This will help with building a local community and gage interest in running a more premium event.

How can you apply to host a Renewed Prime 2023 event?

Applications to host an ARH Renewed Prime are now open and you can apply below.
If approved one of the ARH team will be in touch with further details on how to purchase a prize kit.

What’s the cost of a kit?

$45 which includes worldwide shipping. The kit and its cost has been reworked in comparison to 2022. This is to reduce the upfront cost required from the Tournament Organiser, therefore making it more accessible.

How many players does a kit support?

Each prize kit supports up to 16-players as standard with the option to purchase more participation cards if you’re expecting a higher turn out (please leave a comment in your application). Also included in the kit is an extra copy of the Double Sided Participation Paper Card and the Double Sided Top 4 Spot Gloss Card for the Tournament Organiser. Call it a thank you from ARH for running and organising the event!

When will the kits be available?

Prize kits will be ready to ship from March, therefore we suggest the earliest you should plan to run an event is April. Furthermore please allow a minimum of 6 weeks from when you apply to your proposed event date. This allows time for the application process, shipping the prize kits and event promotion.

You can run one of these event at anytime during 2023.

What event format can I use one of these kits for?

You must run an ARH Standard format event using the latest Holocron.

Any other guidance?

Renewed Primes are considered to be Premium events. ARH issues the guidance that proxies for FFG cards and dice should not be accepted, but we leave it to the Tournament Organisers discretion. ARH cards should be printed on card, or paper slipped in front of another card. All cards should be sleeved in opaque sleeves so that the back the cards are indistinguishable from each other. ARH dice should be stickered or printed directly on the dice to a good standard as to eliminate any board state confusion.

Looking for some inspiration to start your own scene or simply want to learn about and get plugged in to an established scene? Join us for each edition of the Mos Eisley Gazette as we get to know the heroes of the many IRL Destiny scenes still kicking around the world and take a brief journey to their local scenes.

Today we are in Scarborough, U.K catching up with the a familiar name in the ARH Destiny community (lead designer for the 2 Player Game Galactic Struggle, and the man responsible for the ARH database) Ace Jon.

When was the moment you became a fan of Star Wars?

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. I remember watching the OT movies when they were on TV around Christmases in the 90s – I was the only one in my house who cared but I thought they were great. I saw the prequels as a teen and didn’t think much of them, because they aren’t very good movies. But at that point I had the OT on DVDs and I was hooked. Darth Vader is my jam.

How did you get into SW Destiny?

I remember around the time the Two Player Game came out in the UK, a big online retailer that doesn’t deserve to be named was running a promotion on them. So I picked up one for myself and a few more for friends as I knew it’d be rubbish without a ‘meta’ going – I used to play a bit of Magic: the Gathering as a teen but wisely sold out of it before it ate my wallet.

What’s your favourite aspect of your local scene?

With my friends and I all with our starter sets, it wasn’t long before we connected with the larger local community and went to some small events at TAU Gaming, our local card games shop. It wasn’t long before we were buying boxes and organising draft events – I was looking forward to the first draft kit coming out, and it’s been my favourite way to play in person since.

Any memorable moments you’d like to share?

I’d like to mention going to larger events outside of Scarborough. Qualifiers, Nationals (my most recent event, at UKGE) and the awesome annual Cantina Royale charity event – these have been great to attend with Scarborough friends and to meet other players across the country. It’s cool checking in with people after a few rounds. You might be going 1-2, but your friend’s on a hot 3-0 win streak, so now you’re winning vicariously. Recently, it’s been great to put faces to names for all the ARH Discord folk I’ve met.

Any advice for someone who wants to build a local Destiny scene?

I believe this strongly: the key is teenagers. If you can grab the attention of the local teenagers with your strange Star Wars dice game, the rest will come. I keep starter decks ready, but I’ve found most interest has come from people watching over the shoulders of a competitive game. Give stuff away for free, and point people to where they can get more.
